Lane Raglan -PRINTED PATTERN

Lane Raglan -PRINTED PATTERN

Style and comfort come together in this top!  The Lane Raglan is a women’s knit top in sizes XS – 2XL.  The cut is made to flatter a woman’s body, with fitted sleeves, gentle shaping through the torso, and a wider neckband.  Options include:

  • Elbow length, 3/4 length, long, or long banded sleeves
  • Curved or banded hem
  • A hood
  • Thumbhole wristbands
  • Chest pocket
  • A separate front pattern piece with a built-in full bust adjustment

The possibilities for this top are endless.  Depending on your fabric choice it can become anything from a sleep shirt to a sequined going-out top.

Use contrasting fabric for the sleeves, cuffs, or optional chest pocket.  Add a lace overlay to the bodice.  Use a woven fabric or even leather for the pocket.  Make the shirt out of nylon lycra and it becomes a rash guard, size up and use  fleece for a sweatshirt!  The choice is yours!

This versatile yet simple top is a very easy sew, perfect for your first foray into knit garments.  If you choose to use the wristbands and waistband there is no hemming.

Hi! My name is Adrianna and I am the owner and designer here at Hey June.

I have three daughters who were the inspiration for me to start sewing, co-write a blog, and eventually venture into selling my own patterns. I still enjoy sewing for them and avoiding those big box stores for fast fashion when possible, but my sewing interests have also evolved to include more women’s wear.

I started this business because I often heard people say that sewing was too confusing or difficult when they would follow traditional patterns, or that those patterns didn’t reflect RTW styles. I knew there was a market for well-drafted, simple-to-sew patterns for more modern clothing designs. Hey June patterns have clearly illustrated step-by-step instructions and will yield garments that are easy to integrate into any wardrobe. I love when people “hack” patterns to suit their needs, so I try to keep my patterns simple and classic so they can be easily altered if necessary.

My future goals for Hey June are to someday start a men’s line and to add more to my children’s line. Right now I’m having so much fun with the endless inspiration for women’s fashion though!

Why “hey june”? My youngest, who was supposed to be a boy named Jude, turned out instead to be a girl named Juniper. We say “Hey June” a lot in this house.

If you’re wondering about the pattern names, they are all places I’ve visited. We’ve been very fortunate to travel around while living overseas in Europe and Asia, so there are many places around the world that are special to me. My family and I now live in beautiful Golden, CO.
