Sandbridge Skirt - PDF DIGITAL DOWNLOAD

The Sandbridge Skirt is a casual raw-hem skirt in two lengths.  View A hits mid-thigh and View B hits just above the knee.  Both views include traditional five pocket styling, a functional zipper fly, a back yoke, and belt loops.  The separate pocket bags and contoured waistband facing provide fun opportunities for using a cute printed fabric.  The waistband facing is finished with bias tape, which makes it very easy to sew and provides another place for hidden fabric customization.  The Sandbridge is designed to be worn at the low waist for that perfect relaxed style.  It pairs equally well with a bikini top and flip flops or a sweater and boots.   The Sandbridge can be made with stretch or non-stretch bottom weight fabrics such as denim, corduroy, twill, velvet, or sateen.

Hi! My name is Adrianna and I am the owner and designer here at Hey June.

I have three daughters who were the inspiration for me to start sewing, co-write a blog, and eventually venture into selling my own patterns. I still enjoy sewing for them and avoiding those big box stores for fast fashion when possible, but my sewing interests have also evolved to include more women’s wear.

I started this business because I often heard people say that sewing was too confusing or difficult when they would follow traditional patterns, or that those patterns didn’t reflect RTW styles. I knew there was a market for well-drafted, simple-to-sew patterns for more modern clothing designs. Hey June patterns have clearly illustrated step-by-step instructions and will yield garments that are easy to integrate into any wardrobe. I love when people “hack” patterns to suit their needs, so I try to keep my patterns simple and classic so they can be easily altered if necessary.

My future goals for Hey June are to someday start a men’s line and to add more to my children’s line. Right now I’m having so much fun with the endless inspiration for women’s fashion though!

Why “hey june”? My youngest, who was supposed to be a boy named Jude, turned out instead to be a girl named Juniper. We say “Hey June” a lot in this house.

If you’re wondering about the pattern names, they are all places I’ve visited. We’ve been very fortunate to travel around while living overseas in Europe and Asia, so there are many places around the world that are special to me. My family and I now live in beautiful Golden, CO.
