Sheridan Sweater -PRINTED PATTERN
Sizes 2 – 22
Confident Beginner Difficulty
The Sheridan Sweater is a cozy, stylish, yet simple sweater in two views with several options.
View A has a crew neck, and view B features a built-up bateau neckline, similar to a wide mock turtleneck.
Both views have the option for a regular banded length, cropped banded length, or cropped hem length.
Sleeve styles include a cuffed bishop sleeve or an elasticated bishop sleeve, or a simple wide bell sleeve.
The Sheridan Sweater is the perfect fall and winter layering piece to keep you cozy and warm but looking put together and stylish. It works best in soft knits with some drape and good recovery. Any type of French terry is a great option provided it has some spandex (Lycra) for required stretch. Most double knits, interlocks, ribbings, and heavier jersey will work as well, provided they are not too thick and have at least 60% stretch on the cross grain. Sweater knits are ideal for the Sheridan as long as they have a sturdier hand. Look for more tightly knit sweater knits or ones that include spandex (Lycra).

Hi! My name is Adrianna and I am the owner and designer here at Hey June.
I have three daughters who were the inspiration for me to start sewing, co-write a blog, and eventually venture into selling my own patterns. I still enjoy sewing for them and avoiding those big box stores for fast fashion when possible, but my sewing interests have also evolved to include more women’s wear.
I started this business because I often heard people say that sewing was too confusing or difficult when they would follow traditional patterns, or that those patterns didn’t reflect RTW styles. I knew there was a market for well-drafted, simple-to-sew patterns for more modern clothing designs. Hey June patterns have clearly illustrated step-by-step instructions and will yield garments that are easy to integrate into any wardrobe. I love when people “hack” patterns to suit their needs, so I try to keep my patterns simple and classic so they can be easily altered if necessary.
My future goals for Hey June are to someday start a men’s line and to add more to my children’s line. Right now I’m having so much fun with the endless inspiration for women’s fashion though!
Why “hey june”? My youngest, who was supposed to be a boy named Jude, turned out instead to be a girl named Juniper. We say “Hey June” a lot in this house.
If you’re wondering about the pattern names, they are all places I’ve visited. We’ve been very fortunate to travel around while living overseas in Europe and Asia, so there are many places around the world that are special to me. My family and I now live in beautiful Golden, CO.
